Description

The sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) is a brain wave. It is an oscillatory idle rhythm of synchronized electric brain activity. It appears in spindles in recordings of EEG, MEG, and ECoG over the sensorimotor cortex. For most individuals, the frequency of the SMR is in the range of 13 to 15 Hz.

This rhythm was discovered in 1952 and became the subject of many studies. Neuroacoustic studies have clinically proven the positive effects of the sensorimotor rhythm on human health. It can help reduce the severity of epileptic seizures, increase resistance to toxic substances, improve the connection between the body and consciousness. Scientists noted positive effect of the sensorimotor rhythm on people suffering from such diseases as autism, epilepsy, attention deficit syndrome. Trained athletes show a much more pronounced sensorimotor rhythm than people who do not engage in sports.

The sensorimotor rhythm appears when a person is at rest, therefore, when working with this program, you cannot move or even imagine movement, moving objects. The eyes must be closed. It is important not to make any movements while working with this meditation, you must be completely relaxed.

"Sensorimotor Rhythm" has special features.

The program has some specifics. If you'll observe the following guidelines, you can feel the program results after your very first session.

  • Begin the program on an empty stomach or two hours after a meal.
  • The use of the program will be most beneficial during the active planetary hours. To ensure the best results, you may listen to it during the first day planetary hour and second night planetary hour of your location. The first day planetary hour is the early morning time.   • Headphones must be used.
  • It's important to be well hydrated as you listen to the program. So, we recommend that you drink a glass of clear water (but no other type of liquid) shortly before the meditation.
  • When meditating do not move or even imagine movement.
  • Avoid any interruption as you work with the program. It could be a good idea to turn off your cell phone and any type of audible or vibratory reminder.
  • It's important to listen to the program at a modest (medium) volume. Playback at high volume will diminish the program's effectiveness. It's a good idea to listen to a short meditation fragment so that you can set the ideal volume before the start of your meditation.
  • Never work with a program while under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
  • If you happen to fall asleep while listening to the program, don't worry. Simply deactivate the auto-repeat function on your player before the start of the session.
  • You can work with the program six days a week. Moreover, "Sensorimotor Rhythm" can be combined with other Advanced Mind Institute programs as long as you take a two- to four-hour break between them.

How does one meditate?

Assume any position that is comfortable for you; one in which your joints and muscles aren't stressed or tensed. Such a position should be one you can maintain for a reasonable amount of time. Close your eyes, and cease your internal chatter. Within a few minutes--usually fewer than ten--your mind and body will relax. It's a pleasant sensation; an experience you will learn to recognize and seek.

It's just some amazing program ... A bit of background. Before I started working with Lenny's programs, I had problems due to a severe impairment of the blood circulation of the brain (due to the curvature of the spine and muscle spasms in the background of vegetative-vascular dystonia): the symptoms of VSD, migraine, dissociation, panic attacks ... A few years ago, when facing intense stress + night insomnia, my whiskey started to ache very much, I felt very dizzy, had a feeling that for a second I were to lose consciousness, and at some point - I lay and read a book to the children for the night. I felt a sharp deterioration in my diction ... I do not know what it was, gradually the diction restored, but the motor skills of the hands were slightly off, which was noticeable only to me: it manifested itself in some awkwardness… Also on the thumb of my right hand I had a slightly deformed nail, that has become flat. I know that the thumb is connected to the brain and reflects its condition.
While working with "Sensorimotor rhythm," I felt my body, like a large crumpled fabric, pierced with large holes. After meditation, the nail on the very finger hurt all day, and the next day I saw that it had changed! It became normal, slightly convex, in shape. I just cannot believe that it happened in just one day!
I work with almost all of Lenny Rossolovski programs, which helped me to get rid of the VSD and there were many and many other improvements, but after working with this program, I completely restored motoric skills of my hands. I think this program has a great potential, and after working with it even a healthy person will feel even better.
